Gin Peche Lambic Sour: Santiam Brewing
Drink this beer on sunny days when you’re craving something light and tart, and not a bit sweet.
About Santiam Brewing Co
Satiam Brewery in Salem, Oregon is tucked away in an industrial park away from the bustle of downtown. Inside is a quaint, British pub atmosphere (as if the giant UK flag doesn’t give it away) complete with beautiful long, wood tables and darts to keep you busy. The barrels lining the room are a nice touch, and the brewing operations are just behind the counter for a quick tour.
About the Gin Peche Lambic Sour
The Gin Peche Lambic is a 18-month barrel aged sour ale that will not, I repeat, will not, disappoint if you like sour beers. This was easily my favorite beer from Santiam Brewing, and one that I would be willing to go back for. It holds up to the complexity and quality of the other top sour beers in the Northwest. Although it’s not listed on their website under their beers, this peach and apricot wonder should be in your glass if it’s ever on the board. Best enjoyed on a sunny patio with friends.
